We are conducting a search on behalf of a pioneering scale‑up synthetic fuel company dedicated to decarbonising heavy industry. This company's mission is to make synthetic fuels cheaper than fossil fuels and contribute to a sustainable future by keeping CO2 locked underground.

They have recently received a £10million Seed funding round by some of Eu­ropes most desired and prominent deeptech investors and currently have a team of 25 at their HQ in London.

The company designs and manufactures modular synthetic fuel plants that integrate a Direct Air Capture (DAC) system, an Alkaline Electrolyzer, and a Sabatier Reactor. These systems are vertically integrated with off‑grid DC solar and the European gas grid. Having recently deployed the UK’s largest synthetic fuel plant, the company ispipe now focused on scaling its operations by a factor of 1,000 within the next two years.

We are looking for a Senior/Lead Electrical Engineer to build critical test rigs and cabinets, iterate cheann on the power system design, and help kick‑start scaled manufacturing. The company has one single goal: to reduce the cost of methane to the point where drilling for fossil fuels is no longer viable and companies can "mine the sky for carbon." The Role
  • Model irradiance curves and design panels.
  • Integrate IO, controllers, and sensors.
  • Design and deploy DC combiner boxes and safety‑rated systems.
  • Work with servo motion controls and VFD motor controls.
  • Ensure all designs meet safety and regulatory standards.
Core Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of professional experience.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with industrial panel design from conception to certification and deployment in a large industrial setting.
  • Experience working to Machinery Directive standards.
  • Familiarity with high‑power/high‑voltage industrial systems (3‑phase, ≥400V).
