Job summary

A leading Pharmaceutical FMCG manufacturer located in Leeds is seeking a Senior Key Account Manager for a 12-month maternity cover contract that may lead to a permanent role. Responsibilities include managing key customer relationships, achieving sales targets, and leading a team of Key Account Managers. The position requires strong leadership skills, negotiation capacities, and experience in national account management within the FMCG sector. Qualifications

  • Proven experience in national account management at a senior level within FMCG or OTC sectors.
  • Demonstrated success in leading negotiations.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent negotiation, commercial and strategic planning skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive actionable insights.
  • Experience managing UK retailer accounts and executing JBPs.
  • Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage relationships with national grocery and retail customers.
  • Oversee execution of Joint Business Plans and commercial contracts.
  • Own and deliver against annual sales targets and revenue growth.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting and budget management across accounts.
  • Drive strategic initiatives to support brand growth and commercial performance.
  • Negotiate trade terms and pricing strategies with key retail partners.
  • Line-manage a team of Key Account Managers, ensuring performance oversight.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver against the Annual Operating Plan.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity.
