You will take responsibility for project programmes, lead and inspire teams, and safeguard design quality across every stage of delivery.

This role offers significant career development, giving you the opportunity to influence the direction of the workplace sector at a studio, regional, and potentially global level. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership while also mentoring and empowering junior and mid-level designers, helping to shape the next generation of talent within Woods Bagot.

  • Drive work winning initiatives, including leading bids, submissions, and client presentations.
  • Contribute to strategic business planning and the continued growth of the Workplace Interiors sector.
  • Lead projects through all phases, from concept design to practical completion.
  • Prepare space planning, test fits, and schematic design schemes for commercial workplace projects.
  • Produce design development presentations and detailed documentation.
  • Coordinate with engineering services and specialist sub-consultants to integrate design solutions.
  • Manage bid and tender documentation packages, including drawings, schedules, and specifications.
  • Oversee construction documentation, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and design integrity.
  • Take a hands-on approach to design documentation when required.
  • Support and mentor team members, contributing to the culture, growth, and professional development of the interior design team.

You are an accomplished Senior / Associate Interior Designer with a strong background in designing and delivering workplace fit-out projects. Confident in leading projects from concept through to completion, you combine design excellence with commercial awareness to achieve outcomes that meet client ambitions and exceed expectations.

You thrive in client-facing roles, with the ability to translate organisational culture and business objectives into innovative, functional, and human-centred workplace environments. You bring a proven track record of work winning in London, supported by long-standing client relationships and repeat business. You are collaborative, strategic, and hands-on, with the ability to lead and inspire teams while maintaining the highest standards of quality, creativity, and delivery.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture.
  • Exceptional conceptual design ability and strong narrative development skills.
  • Proven experience preparing and winning bids and submissions.
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement, with confidence leading client meetings.
  • Strong ability to plan, write, and manage project programmes.
  • Track record of delivering profitable projects and managing multiple commissions simultaneously.
  • Experienced in leading, mentoring, and developing junior team members.
