Senior Independent Domestic Violence Advocate
Location: Brent (Hybrid - up to 1 day working from home)
Hours: 21 hours per week, 10am-6pm (Potential to increase)
Salary: £21 - £24 p/h Ltd
Contract: Temporary, Part-Time
Service: Violence Against Women and Girls

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior IDVA to join our Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) service in Brent. This is a part-time role where you will combine overseeing the Duty IDVA service with managing a reduced caseload. You will:

  • Line manage and support Duty Workers
  • Coordinate the duty rota and allocation of cases
  • Provide guidance, supervision, and ensure high-quality practice
  • Assist the Service Manager with data collection, analysis, and reporting
  • Deliver direct support to women through assessments, safety planning, crisis intervention, and advocacy
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies across three boroughs

This is a vital role for someone who can remain calm under pressure, manage sensitive information, and ensure the voices of survivors are at the heart of everything we do.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Experience supporting women experiencing domestic abuse, including complex and high-risk cases
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding practice, procedures, and legislation
  • Proven experience supervising staff or volunteers
  • Excellent risk assessment, safety planning, and advocacy skills
  • Ability to work effectively with multi-agency partners
  • Strong organisational, communication, and IT skills
