About the Role

We are currently recruiting for experienced and reliable Senior Care Assistants to join our dedicated care team in a residential care home in Walsall, specialising in dementia and mental health care. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will lead by example, ensuring the delivery of person-centred, high-quality care throughout each shift.



Shift Patterns


  • Nights: 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM (working across a 7-day rota)

  • Days: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM (working across a 7-day rota)



Responsibilities


  • Administer medication in accordance with policies and procedures

  • Lead and supervise care staff on shift, ensuring smooth handovers and continuity of care

  • Support and guide junior staff in the delivery of high standards of personal and emotional care

  • Carry out and update individual care plans



Qualifications


  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)

  • Previous experience working in a residential care home, ideally with dementia and mental health residents

  • Experience supervising or leading a care team

  • Trained and competent in medication administration
