About Our Client

Our client is a dynamic, fast paced multi purpose business based in Plymouth. With an acquisitive nature, they have continued to expand in even the most challenging of economic environments and are looking to hire a Senior Group Finance Manager to the team.

Job Description

Reporting to the CFO and responsible for the various business channels (UK/IRE/Online), the Senior Group Finance Manager will be responsible for the forecasting, budgeting, consolidation, margin analysis and commercial input. Process improvement and automation of manual tasks is key to driving the efficiency of the Finance team.

  • Overseeing and assisting in the production of the monthly management accounts. Reviewing, understanding and challenging the figures
  • Daily and monthly cashflow monitoring and analysis
  • Forecasting, budgeting and modelling for the overall business and for specific areas or projects
  • Finance business partnering with key teams throughout the wider business
  • Identifying and implementing team and reporting efficiencies
  • Analysis of all income stream performance data, giving recommendations on potential changes to maximise profitability
  • Modelling and projecting the financial impact of proposed new business scenarios
  • Sensitivity analysis of existing group profitability, proposing areas of opportunity and concern to focus on
  • Adhoc tasks as required

  • Experience in a commercial organisation
  • Experience analysing large data sets, identifying trends and issues, and proposing recommendations
  • Strong Excel skills, with experience of financial modelling

  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy
