Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer for an outside IR35 contract in Birmingham. The role involves leading a team, managing geotechnical construction phase support on the HS2 route, and working on-site for three days a week. The ideal candidate will have experience in major infrastructure projects and must validate design assumptions while liaising with contractors and clients. This is an initial 6-month contract with possibilities for extension.

Qualifications

• Experience with major infrastructure projects.
• Ability to lead a team of engineers/graduates.
• Knowledge of geotechnical construction and field testing.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Geotechnical Construction Phase Support on the HS2 route.
• Prepare Inspection and Test Plans and Technical Support.
• Oversee Non-Conformance Reports and geotechnical data logging.
