You'll play a crucial role in delivering diverse Geo-environmental, Earthworks, and Remediation Validation services. This involves designing and managing earthworks and remediation projects, as well as designing and managing site investigation works, which includes on-site supervision of drilling rigs, trial pitting, logging, and sampling. You'll also be responsible for writing comprehensive reports and managing projects from start to finish, all while working as part of integrated project teams and gaining insights into related disciplines like civils, structural, and flood risk.
Our Newcastle team boasts a diverse portfolio of local and regional projects, and you'll contribute to exciting ventures like Crown Studios Sunderland, Clasper Village Gateshead, NUFC Fanzone, Boghall Road Glasgow, and Penistone Road Sheffield, among others.
Good working knowledge of relevant British Standards (e.g., BS5930, BS10175) and Industry Guidance (e.g., EA LC:RM).
Ability to soil and ideally core log in accordance with BS5930:2015+A1:2020.
Experience in the supervision, reporting, and management of geotechnical projects and geo-environmental investigation works.
A strong understanding of Health and Safety requirements for Ground Investigations.
Excellent technical report writing skills (Desk Studies, Ground Investigation Reports, Remediation and Validation reports, and Coal Mining Risk Assessments).
A self-motivated team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
A proactive, independent thinker with an enthusiastic approach to work.
Experience acting as an NEC Site Supervisor would be a significant advantage.
