Role Type : Full-time

Location : Remote (anywhere). The role is fully remote with no geographic limitations, though the client has stated a preference for candidates who can collaborate effectively across European time zones.

About the Client

The client is a fast-moving AI safety organization operating as an independent subsidiary since late 2025. Their mission is to ensure real-time monitoring and risk detection for advanced AI systems, using black-box techniques with extremely low latency and high accuracy. They are seed-funded and preparing for a Series A raise in 2026.

The engineering team is simultaneously advancing their AI monitoring capabilities, scaling infrastructure, and working toward major cloud and compliance certifications (including SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 42001).

The Role

The client seeks a Senior Full Stack Engineer who excels in high-velocity environments, ships production-quality code quickly, and is deeply comfortable working autonomously. This is a role for someone who learns fast, iterates rapidly, and prioritizes working software over heavy planning or documentation.

You will collaborate closely with AI researchers and backend engineers to build and scale the client’s real-time AI monitoring platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing, building, and maintaining backend services in Python, including async programming patterns and message-queue-based architectures.
• Developing and optimizing APIs that support real-time AI monitoring with strict sub-100ms performance requirements.
• Integrating ML / LLM systems into production environments.
• Building scalable data pipelines and processing systems.
• Deploying and operating services on AWS infrastructure.
• Contributing to frontend development (as needed) within a modern JS framework.
• Collaborating with AI researchers to productionize experimental AI safety methods.
• Maintaining and improving CI / CD pipelines and developer tooling.

Requirements

Essential

• Strong, proven Python development experience in production environments.
• Familiarity with ML / LLM systems and their integration into applications.
• Experience with async programming and message queuing (e.g., Celery or equivalents).
• Strong understanding of API design and real-time data processing.
• Hands‑on AWS experience (e.g., EC2, Lambda, ECS, RDS).
• Clear track record of shipping production features quickly.
• Ability to operate autonomously with minimal supervision.

Preferred

• Experience with PostgreSQL or Redis.
• AWS ECS exposure.
• Containerization experience (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Frontend experience (React or similar).
• Background in B2B enterprise software, cybersecurity, or compliance systems.
• Early‑stage startup experience.
