Senior Full Stack Engineer - FX e-Trading (React/TypeScript + Java)

Location: London (minimum 2 days per week onsite)

Contract: 12 months

About the role

We're looking for two experienced Senior Full Stack Engineers to join a high-profile project building a brand-new FX e-trading platform. You'll be responsible for delivering full-stack features across React/TypeScript front-end applications and Java backend services, ensuring high performance, resilience, and reliability for real-time trading workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of full-stack features, from frontend UI to backend services.
• Work closely with trading, product, and infrastructure teams to translate complex requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Optimise system performance, latency, and reliability for real-time trading.
• Mentor and support other engineers, sharing best practices and driving code quality.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and maintain high-quality code.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in full-stack development with React/TypeScript and Java.
• Proven experience with microservices, distributed systems, and real-time trading or financial platforms.
• Hands-on understanding of system performance, latency optimisation, and observability.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and mentor other engineers effectively.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools is a plus.
