Senior Finance Officer (central offices)

Scale 5 (NJC points 12-17): £28,598 - £31,022 per annum

37 hours per week, All Year Round

Our finance teams play a pivotal role across the Trust, and we now have an opportunity for a Senior Finance Officer to join our central team (Maltings Road, HX2 0TJ). This is a newly created role, introduced to support the Trust’s continued growth.

In this varied role the successful candidate will work to provide a professional, responsive and efficient central finance and payroll service for the trust. Working under the supervision of the Management Accountant and Payroll and Pensions Manager, you will:

  • monitor budgets and produce accurate and timely monitoring statements.
  • assist in all financial areas as directed e.g. monthly financial reports/purchase ordering; management and checking of deliveries; management of invoices; management of and cooperation with audits; ensure best value principles are applied in all transactions; ensure all finance actions, processes and procedures are of the highest integrity to protect the reputation of the trust.
  • assist in the monthly reconciliation of all academy payroll control accounts, production of monthly payroll journals and upload to the trust finance system.
