A leading manufacturer of Warehouse Automation products in the UK seeks a Senior Field Service Engineer to provide technical support and training on automated handling equipment. Candidates should have extensive experience in servicing Warehouse Automated Systems and ideally possess knowledge of PLCs. Overview

Alexander James Recruiting are currently working with a leading manufacturer and integrator of Warehouse Automation products looking to bring on a Senior Field Service Engineer to provide technical support and training on AMHE for both clients and internal teams across the UK. With a competitive base salary and overall package, this is a great opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer with a background working in Warehouse Automation.

Responsibilities
  • Producing and delivering training to engineers on a wide variety of automated material handling equipment including automated conveyors, robotic arms and overhead cranes
  • Providing in-depth technical support to customer sites across the UK
  • Conducting Continuous Improvement and Root-Cause Analysis projects at customer sites
  • Conducting technical audits within the engineering team to identify technical and training gaps
  • Performing technical analysis and evaluations to identify any improvements required in equipment
Requirements

Our client are looking for an individual with extensive experience of servicing and repairing Warehouse Automated Systems, preferably with a strong understanding of PLCs (ideally Siemens or Beckhoff). The ideal candidate would also have experience of working to Lean Six Sigma; preferably holding a Green Belt but not essential. In terms of location, you will ideally be based in the Midlands. You must hold a full UK driver’s license as there will be an expectation to travel to customer sites around the country.
