Estimator – New Build Housing
Staffordshire + Hybrid Working

Up to £85,000 + bonus (base salary depending on experience)

Kitson Associates is excited to share a fantastic opportunity for a Senior/Estimator to join a growing region in Staffordshire. This role will report to the Commercial Director.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Land, Technical, Sales, and Production teams to develop site-specific land appraisals
  • Prepare and review land appraisals to support site acquisitions
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through innovative materials and construction methods
  • Visit potential land acquisition sites to evaluate risks and opportunities, providing detailed reports to support land bids
  • Recommend alternative approaches for non-standard works
  • Collaborate with Quantity Surveyors, Buyers, and external stakeholders to maintain an accurate and comprehensive cost database, including prelims, site works, and land abnormalities
  • Monitor and report on cost movements influenced by inflation, planning requirements, and other market factors
  • Prepare, analyse, and present budget status, risk, and opportunity reports on a monthly or quarterly basis
Skills & Experience
  • Min 3 years (UK experience essential) experience as an Estimator, ideally within a housebuilding or groundworks background
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in IT systems within a commercial environment
  • Full UK driving licence required
