Senior Environmental Health Officer - Housing Standards - Haywards Heath RH16 1SS. Join Our Team: Are you ready to take a key role in delivering improvements to the standard of private sector housing. We are at the forefront of public health, delivering actual improvements to people’s lives on a daily basis and ensuring private sector accommodation is safe to live in. We're seeking a proactive and adaptable individual to join our team and make a real difference within our communities. Role Overview: You will be responding to customer concerns over their accommodation and proactively improving their housing conditions by obtaining the necessary repairs and improvements. Given the proposals in the Renters Rights Bill, a more proactive enforcement approach will be essential for this role. HMO licencing of properties will be undertaken, along with the investigations of any condition breaches. You will also administer a small number of complex DFGs which promote independence within the homes of disabled and vulnerable. You must be able to form relationships with other council teams such as Housing Advice, as well as customers, contractors, landlords and other agencies to ensure housing conditions are improved and grants are provided in a timely manner.
