Job Overview

At WSP, you will join our expanding Building Structures team as a Senior Structural Engineer, responsible for the project management and technical delivery of schemes from inception through handover.

Responsibilities
  • Develop innovative and sustainable designs for a wide range of challenging projects, from major transportation hubs to airports and universities.
  • Lead multidisciplinary design projects from concept to detailed design, coordinating with architects, engineers, and specialist consultants.
  • Contribute to WSP’s success by delivering a growing order book of high‑profile multi‑disciplinary developments.
Team and Locations

You will be part of a diverse and talented team located in Southampton and Basingstoke, with opportunities to collaborate across WSP disciplines.

Qualifications
  • Chartered Engineer status (MIStructE / AIStructE / MICE) or relevant equivalent experience.
  • Sound knowledge of structural engineering principles, analytical techniques, and Eurocodes.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience producing clear engineering deliverables.
  • Experience in low‑carbon design, embodied carbon assessment, and project deliverable quality assurance.
