Overview

Electronic Design Engineer (STM / Product Development / Firmware) – W London

Are you ready to get hands-on with high-performance scientific instruments?

We're seeking an Electronic Design Engineer to join our R&D team to lead the design, product development, and management of cutting-edge embedded systems and precision electronics.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Designing low-noise analogue/digital PCBs and embedded systems (STM32).
  • Developing firmware using STM32CubeIDE & FreeRTOS for real-time control.
  • Overseeing end-to-end product development: concept, prototyping, testing, and launch.
  • Managing product lifecycles, from requirements definition and feature prioritization through post-launch support and enhancements.
  • Preparing project documentation, product roadmaps, and supporting NPI (New Product Introduction).
  • Producing wiring schematics, building prototypes, and integrating systems.
Qualifications
  • A degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or similar).
  • Experience with PCB design tools (Altium, KiCad, etc.).
  • Embedded systems and firmware development skills.
  • Familiarity with product management best practices, market/competitive analysis, and user-centric design principles.
  • Knowledge of EMC, CE/UKCA compliance, and debugging tools.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for both stakeholders and team members.
