A little more about your role…

  • Meet the requirements of a 'Senior Engineer' grade with a proven track record in leading projects for your discipline and overall project teams. Demonstrate how your input has led to winning or successfully delivering commissions.
  • Work in a joint leadership capacity within a multidisciplinary MEP team, providing design and technical advice across projects.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, applying your technical expertise or specialized experience.
  • Interpret client needs and project requirements to ensure full delivery.
  • Supervise detailed design completion and oversee the work of others.
  • Assess project feasibility specific to your discipline and lead feasibility studies.
  • Produce detailed and performance specifications for your discipline, reviewed by colleagues prior to issue.
  • Review design programs and ensure resource availability.

  • Collaborate with like-minded professionals on challenging projects.
  • Join a team of 25 engineers in Cambridge, part of a larger group of nearly 400 MEP engineers.

  • Based in Cambridge, with easy access via train and within walking distance of the city center.

What we will be looking for you to demonstrate…

Key Technical Requirements:

  • Understanding of UK and European regulations relevant to your discipline.
  • UK project experience in Building Services MEP.
  • Familiarity with electrical design software for project work allocation and direction.
  • Experience with Revit MEP or similar 3D design software.
  • Ability to communicate technical details graphically.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD for project tasks.

Electrical Design Skills

  • Low voltage systems, UPS, lighting, fire alarms, security systems, data cabling, and lightning protection.

Qualifications:

  • BEng/BSc/MEng in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Honours degree accredited by CIBSE, IET, or Engineering Council, or equivalent experience for Chartership.
  • Working towards IEng or CEng status.
  • Revit MEP training relevant to the discipline.
