My Client is recruiting for a Senior Electrical Engineer in the Water Sector.

Location: Skipton - with Hybrid working.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will work in a creative and challenging environment, delivering a wide range of projects across the United Utilities framework.

You will support Yorkshire Water with upgrades to critical infrastructure assets, including water and wastewater treatment sites, pumping stations, and reservoirs during the AMP8 period.

Your responsibilities as a Senior Electrical Engineer include:

1. Leading interfaces and integration of electrical & ICA design with other disciplines.
2. Writing technical specifications, control philosophies, schedules, reports, and risk assessments.
3. Producing Single Line Diagrams, Block Cable Diagrams, Network Infrastructure Diagrams.
4. Providing engineering input to collaborative design outputs, such as General Arrangement Drawings, 3D models, and Pipeline & Instrumentation Diagrams.
5. Participating in technical workshops, HAZOPs, and ALMs.
6. Liaising with Distribution Network Operators.
7. Attending Factory Acceptance Tests.
8. Ensuring quality assurance through review and check functions.
9. Supporting the development of the electrical engineering team, mentoring junior engineers, and resource planning.
10. Challenging client specifications and defending solutions to complex problems.

Experience and Qualifications:

1. Degree qualified Electrical Engineer (preferably Chartered or Incorporated with the IET).
2. Experience in wastewater non-infrastructure and infrastructure design.
3. Commercial and contractual awareness with understanding of project delivery within time and budget constraints.
4. Knowledge of procurement and construction, with experience in delivering safe, efficient, innovative, and sustainable solutions.
5. Experience or knowledge of HV design is advantageous.
