Job summary

A leading recruitment firm is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer for a role requiring ongoing SC clearance. This position involves providing technical support and leadership in technology solutions with a focus on Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, and AWS. The role mandates at least 3 days a week on-site work in Romsey, ensuring collaboration with the team and clients. Competitive daily rates between £700 - £780 are offered.

Qualifications

• Background in automating application deployment and configuration management.
• Experience with automation/configuration management tools, i.e., RedHat, Puppet, Chef, Ansible.
• Strong Linux Sysadmin skills.
• Good knowledge of internet communication concepts and protocols - TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP.
• Experience deploying Continuous Integration solutions.
• Awareness of security considerations in web application deployment.

+SC cleared role - Sole British national only due to project requirement

+3 days a week on site in Romsey

+ 700 - 780 a day

As a DevOps Engineer you'll be responsible for providing both technical support and leadership abilities in the creation and delivery of technology solutions designed to meet customers' business needs.

Must have been using Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins & AWS actively in the last 2 years.

Qualifications:

• A background in automating application deployment and configuration management
• Automation / Configuration management tools experience, i.e., RedHat, Puppet, Chef, Ansible
• Knowledge of IAC technologies such as Cloudformation or Terraform
• Strong Linux Sysadmin skills
• Containerisation and orchestration technologies (Docker & Kubernetes)
• Good knowledge of internet communication concepts and protocols - TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP
• Experience of deploying Continuous Integration solutions

• Monitoring / Logging aka ELK, Prometheus / Grafana etc
• Strong AWS knowledge - EC2, EKS, RDS, Aurora, networking, cost management
