Central London (Office/Site Based, 5 Days a Week)

Are you an experienced Development Manager ready to step up into a senior leadership role?

We are representing a family-owned developer with a reputation for delivering landmark hotels and purpose build student accommodation projects across London and the UK. With an ambitious pipeline and an emphasis on creating unique, high-quality, customer-focused spaces, they are now seeking a Senior Development Manager to join their team in Central London.

The Opportunity

As Senior Development Manager, you will:

  • Lead projects through every stage of the development lifecycle, from planning consent to Practical Completion.
  • Take charge of design, delivery, and customer experience to ensure schemes align with the company's values.
  • Manage relationships with funders, JV partners, local authorities, operators, statutory bodies, and contractors.
  • Oversee risk management, budget control, and financial reporting in partnership with the Finance Team.
  • Drive efficiency and innovation to balance commercial success with quality and customer well-being.
  • Represent the business at industry events, promoting its values and forging influential partnerships.
  • Play an active role in the Senior Development Team, contributing to company-wide governance and strategy.
  • Line manage, mentor, and develop team members, ensuring high performance and growth within the development function.
About You

We are looking for someone who not only excels in project delivery but also thrives in a leadership role. You will bring:

  • A Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, architecture, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years' experience in property development, project management, or a related sector.
  • A strong track record in managing large-scale hospitality, residential, or PBSA developments.
  • Excellent leadership skills with proven experience motivating and developing teams.
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to manage budgets, contracts, and negotiations.
  • A deep understanding of planning processes, building regulations, and industry best practice.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with senior stakeholders.
