Here at QVC UK we are on the search for a Senior Data Scientist to join our growing advanced analytics team in Chiswick Park London. Reporting to the VP Advanced Analytics you will develop models programming and data engineering. This job is a hybrid working role.

Your Impact

• Develop models, programming & data engineering.
• Define new and advanced analysis techniques and approaches.
• Ensure the stability and quality of our models.
• Define requirements and relevant indicators of success in cooperation with internal partners.
• Present results and advise the business on the usability of the results.
• Take on tasks in change management when introducing new methods.
• Define technology stack requirements in cooperation with IT teams.
• Optimize existing methods, technologies and tools and stay informed about market trends.
• Help train and onboard less experienced data scientists and engineers.

What You Bring

• Master's degree (PhD preferred) in Applied Mathematics, Physics, Statistics or another quantitative discipline.
• Several years of professional experience in data engineering, especially with advanced SQL and big‑data pipeline skills.
• Over 3 years of experience in machine learning with frameworks such as Scikit‑Learn, Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Mllib.
• Excellent knowledge of analytical techniques, especially machine learning, pattern recognition and optimization.
• Experience using Big Data platforms (Spark, Hadoop) for large data volumes.
• Knowledge of cloud technology stacks (AWS, GCP, Azure) and data visualization tools (Tableau, QlikView, PowerBI).
• Very good knowledge of at least one scripting language like Python (preferred) or R.
• Knowledge of container platforms e.g. Docker.
• Business‑oriented presentations of complex concepts for a business audience.
• Ability to simplify workflows and communicate complex statistical concepts in a simple way.
