Job summary

An award-winning project consultancy in the UK is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to oversee the commercial management of complex infrastructure projects. You will manage commercial aspects from start to finish, ensuring governance and maximizing value throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in water utilities or major infrastructure projects, be degree qualified, and ideally have RICS Chartership. The role involves hands-on work at the office and project sites, emphasizing collaboration with delivery teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing high value and high risk contractor applications.
• Expert advice on change control and commercial risk mitigation.
• Ability to oversee cost estimates and manage supply chain relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage and report on commercial aspects of utilities infrastructure projects.
• Lead commercial reviews for contractor applications.
• Support cost analysis and improvements in estimating processes.

Skills

Strong commercial management experience within water utilities

Experience in client facing consultancy

Confident managing NEC and JCT contracts

Comfortable working in project led environments

Education

Degree qualified or equivalent experience

Chartered or working towards Chartership RICS preferred
