Overview

Senior Commercial / Contracts Manager

£70,000 - £80,000

Working for a well respected and global Engineering company operating in the Aerospace sector the dynamic Senior Contracts / Commercial Manager will be given full responsibility for key regional markets concentrating on customer accounts within the Far East.

As a key member of the Commercial team your role encompasses a spectrum of commercial activities, from bidding and negotiating strategically vital business to managing existing contracts and ensuring delivery. You'll lead a talented team of Commercial Officers, spearheading decision-making on all commercial matters and regularly briefing senior leadership and board members during Account and Bid Reviews.

Key Accountabilities – Senior Contracts Manager
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations with customers and suppliers to ensure favourable terms and conditions. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop contract strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Contract Administration: Oversee the administration of contracts throughout their lifecycle, from initial proposal to contract closeout.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with contracts, such as financial, legal, and operational risks.
  • Customer and Supplier Relations: Cultivate strong relationships with customers and suppliers, serving as the primary point of contact for contract-related matters.
  • Compliance and Ethics: Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies throughout the contract process.
Skills and knowledge required – Senior Contracts Manager
  • Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record of successful contract negotiations and administration, with a strong understanding of contractual terms and conditions.
  • Significant previous experience in a Commercial role working in the defence/military sector, this role may also suit individuals that have seasoned defence/military industry experience and wish to move into a Commercial team.
