Job Description

A Fantastic Opportunity for a Senior Commercial Manager / Contracts Manager to join an arm's-length Public Sector Body. The Senior Commercial Contracts Manager will be responsible for managing the real time interface and relationship with a supplier for a recently insourced contract in line with government policy and best practice to deliver value for money and wider commercial benefits

You will lead the relationship for initially 1 contract, and act as a lead in commercial contract management, acting as a mentor and sounding board for other contract managers.

Duties & Responsibilities of the Senior Commercial Manager / Contracts Manager
  • To manage the teams day to day activity
  • To monitor the supplier's commercial and service management performance under the contract and analyse performance.
  • To take remedial action where necessary. All following GCF and NAO Good Practice Frameworks and Guidance
  • To agree / refine a contractual change process and ensure adherence to the process, tracking the contract to ensure the underlying cost model is current and accessible
  • To conduct the financial negotiations for any changes related to the existing contract at the appropriate management level ensuring that the agreements remain commercially advantageous and are appropriately documented and tracked
