A healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a Paediatrician for a full-time, fixed-term position to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will manage patients in the Paediatric Assessment Unit, attend emergencies, and engage in inpatient ward rounds. Applicants must possess a Full UK General Medical qualification and demonstrate proficiency in English. This role offers an opportunity to work within a supportive multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality patient care.
Applications are invited for the above full time, fixed term post to cover maternity leave, for this 660 bed acute hospital serving a local population of approximately 400,000. The maternity service had 5,500 deliveries per year. This appointment will be made in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of Service for Hospital Medical and Dental Staff (England) 2002.
The appointee will have training in Paediatrics, be confident in managing Paediatric medical emergencies and assess patients in general Paediatric outpatient clinics.
The successful post holder will join a 12 WTE middle grade Paediatric rota made up of ST3+ Paediatric trainees and Senior Clinical Fellows, providing cover to the Paediatric Assessment Unit, inpatient wards including high‑dependency care and outpatient clinic. They will work closely with the extended MDT team of nurses, advanced clinical practitioners, dieticians, physiotherapists, pharmacists and play team, consultants and other subspecialty teams.
This post is to cover a 12‑month maternity leave.
