Job description

Applications are invited for 2 Clinical Fellow post in Obstetric Anaesthesia at The Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. These posts are for 6 months – 1 year from February 2026

The post holder will work in a 1 in 8 EWTD compliant rota to provide anaesthetic cover in obstetrics on labour ward and support the on call anaesthetic team when necessary including the theatre anaesthetists and ICU team.

Key Duties

• Maternity / Labour Ward analgesia and anaesthesia
• Theatres / Anaesthesia and Perioperative care, including pre‑operative assessment
• Pain and analgesia service
• Transfer of patients to other hospitals
• Resuscitation service

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services.

The Trust’s services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics.
