Senior Clinical Fellow in Emergency Medicine

We have been assigned by one of the UK's more prestigious NHS Trusts to help them recruit a Senior Clinical Fellow in Emergency Medicine on either a Substantive or an NHS Fixed Term basis for 12 months to join their successful Medicine department.

Our client is one of the largest trusts in the country, serving a population of 1.2 million people. Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Assist in the provision of an effective emergency medicine service
  • Provide emergency treatment to patients attending the Emergency Medicine Department and liaise with specialties
  • Assist and guide junior doctors in emergency medicine
  • Liaise with sister/nurse in charge and nursing staff to organise the smooth running of the department with attention to floor management in line with national targets
  • Take a lead in ensuring the ED 4 hour target is achieved without compromising good quality of patient care
  • Liaise with shop floor/on call consultant for clinical and administrative advice as appropriate
