We are looking for a well organised individual to ensure an effective clerical support service is provided to our stakeholders and customers.

Responsibilities
  • Provide an effective financial business support service involving the handling and supervision of both Council and school fund monies
  • Process manual and computerised financial, pupil and personnel information
  • Produce and analyse reports; document production, including typing letters and reports
  • Process purchase orders; provide basic IT assistance
  • Instruct, allocate and check work of employees, and provide advice and guidance on a regular basis
  • Support the head teacher and other members of the school management team; resolve enquiries from parents and children; liaise regularly with other Council staff
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Experience of working in a clerical role and carrying out a wide range of support duties
  • Experience with a range of software packages including Microsoft Excel and databases
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative; ability to work to deadlines and quality standards
  • Strong organisational, customer care and communication skills
Desirable
  • Experience of procurement systems (PECOS), Children’s Services systems and processes, and supervising staff
  • An SVQ level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent
