Overview

Senior Civil Engineer

Are you an experienced Civil Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing consultancy that is at the forefront of delivering sustainable infrastructure and renewable energy solutions. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping the future of the civil engineering team, delivering innovative solutions, and building trusted client relationships. You'll have the autonomy to lead projects from concept through to delivery, while also mentoring and developing junior engineers.

Responsibilities
  • Leading and managing a variety of civil engineering projects, from housing developments to energy infrastructure and highways.
  • Producing and reviewing technical reports, drawings, specifications, and calculations.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Managing financial aspects of projects, including forecasting, fee proposals, and invoicing.
  • Building and maintaining resilient client relationships, attending design team and client meetings, and providing expert insights.
  • Coaching and mentoring junior engineers, helping to grow the next generation of talent.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement across systems, processes, and project delivery.
  • Supporting business growth by engaging in networking and building your professional presence.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Civil Engineering (or related field).
  • Proven consultancy experience working across multiple sectors.
  • Strong technical knowledge, including:
    • Civil 3D design
    • Earthworks modelling
    • Drainage network modelling
    • Flood risk assessments (desirable)
    • CAD (desirable)
  • Excellent skills in report writing, project management, and relationship building.
  • Ability to work independently, manage workloads, and lead project teams.
  • Experience mentoring and developing junior colleagues.
