We are looking for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy delivering high-profile, technically challenging projects across the UK. The Role

Responsibilities
- Leading civil engineering projects from concept through to delivery, ensuring high-quality technical outputs
- Managing project commercial performance, including fee forecasting, cost control, invoicing, and variations
- Coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and liaising with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders
- Mentoring and supporting junior engineers and technicians
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety requirements (CDM 2015), quality systems (ISO 9001 & 14001), and internal governance procedures
- Supporting work-winning activities, tenders, bids, and internal technical knowledge sharing
Project focus includes
- Roads and access road design (Local Design Standards, Manual for Streets, DMRB)
- Flood Risk Assessments and surface/foul water drainage strategies, including attenuation, SuDS, rainwater harvesting, and sustainable urban drainage solutions
- Earthworks, cut/fill analysis, car parks, and hardstanding design
- Utilities, underground drainage, and planning approvals (S38, S278)
- Supporting planning submissions, technical reports, and site-wide infrastructure solutions
Skills & Experience
- 6+ post-graduate experience in civil/infrastructure projects, with at least 1-2 years in the UK
- Proven experience in roads, drainage, earthworks, and utilities infrastructure
- Strong project management skills: budgeting, resourcing, scheduling, and client liaison
- Technical proficiency in InfoDrainage, MicroDrainage, Civil 3D / AutoCAD, Navisworks, KeySIGN, and vehicle tracking software
- Experienced in multidisciplinary collaboration with architects, engineers, and local authorities
- Excellent mentoring and team leadership capabilities
