Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day care and support to children and young people, including those with challenging behaviours.
- Act as a keyworker, supporting individual care plans and maintaining accurate records.
- Lead shifts when required, ensuring smooth running of the home and maintaining a safe environment.
- Attend monthly supervision, staff meetings, and external meetings as required.
- Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring the welfare and safety of all children.
- Support the development and wellbeing of children through positive relationships and structured activities.
- Contribute to team discussions, sharing insights and ideas to improve care quality.
Qualifications
- Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People or equivalent qualification.
- Experience working with children and young people, particularly supporting challenging behaviour.
- Competence to lead shifts and provide guidance to other staff when needed.
- Good understanding of safeguarding policies, procedures, and best practice.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
