Job summary

A well-known care company in Sefton is seeking a Children's Home Senior Residential Support Worker to provide essential support for children. This role includes working directly with children, helping with their daily routines and ensuring their emotional well-being. Applicants should preferably have a NVQ level 3 Diploma and experience in children's homes. Competitive pay, additional holiday days after two years, and a supportive work environment are offered. A full UK driving license is required, with access to a company vehicle available.

Job description

A great opportunity to work with an established and growing care company providing residential live in support for children and teenagers with challenging behaviour. They are always growing and take pride in the support they give the children - they believe that setting them up with the life skills now will help them turn into well rounded members of the community. Their staff are always on hand to provide emotional support as well as helping to teach and develop the children for the future.

Due to a new home opening in a few weeks, they are recruiting for a Children's Home Senior Residential Support Worker, you will be:

Responsibilities
  • Based in a children's residential home in Bootle
  • Working 2 full days and nights and then having 4 days and nights off
  • Working with children with a younger age
  • Supporting the child with making them breakfast, helping getting them dressed and to school, putting on washing, pick up's from school, cooking dinner, getting them bathed and to bed
  • Making sure they are supported emotionally and aiding their learning and development to give them a stable and loving environment
Benefits and Salary
  • £15.40 if you have your Level 3, £14.81 if you don't have it have the experience
  • £60 per sleep in
  • 224 hours holiday per year - you get an extra 2 days when you have been there 2 years
  • Bank holidays paid at x1.5

Qualifications / Experience / Requirements
  • Living in or around the Bootle area
  • You must have a full UK driving licence and ideally your own vehicle but there is a house car you will have access to
  • NVQ level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce would be very beneficial but would consider someone who is working towards their Level 3 qualification
  • You will need experience working within children's homes dealing with children
  • Ideally you would need to be male but would also consider a female - this is down to balancing male/female support workers at the home
