Job description

We're working with an established Cardiff‑based building consultancy with a broad portfolio of services supporting commercial property owners, investors and occupiers across Wales and the wider UK. They're known for providing tailored building surveying advice from acquisition through to long‑term asset management, and now have an opportunity for a Senior Chartered Building Surveyor to join their growing team.

The Role

A varied and rewarding position where you'll be responsible for delivering a mixture of project‑ and professional‑led work, including :

  • Pre‑acquisition building surveys and construction appraisals tailored to client needs
  • Dilapidations, schedules of condition and landlord & tenant advice
  • Building contract administration and planned maintenance support
  • Building defects investigation and dispute advice
  • Party wall matters, licences for alteration and related instructions
  • Working closely with clients, project teams and stakeholders on detailed technical work
What You'll Need
  • Experience as a Building Surveyor within a consultancy environment
  • MRICS qualified (or equivalent senior‑level expertise)
  • Strong technical reporting skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload
  • Client‑facing confidence and strong communication skills
