Job description

Are you an experienced CBT Therapist looking to take the next step in your career? Join us at Psych Health as a Senior CBT Therapist, where you'll play a key role in supporting the clinical development of our team while continuing to deliver high-quality care. This is an exciting opportunity to combine clinical work with leadership responsibilities. You'll provide individual cognitive behavioural therapy to our patients, while also supervising and managing a team of CBT Therapists. In addition, you'll be involved in service development projects, workshops, and CPD activities, making a meaningful impact on both our clinicians and our patients. Please note, the closing date for all new applications is 30th January 2026. We plan to conduct all first stage interviews from the W/C 26th January 2026, with all final stage interviews beginning at the end of February.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver specialised CBT assessments, formulations, and interventions (8-12 sessions on average) to adult patients presenting with a variety of psychological challenges.
  • Provide clinical supervision and line management to CBT Therapists, supporting their professional development and ensuring clinical standards are met.
  • Conduct triage assessments and offer advice and consultation to colleagues, patients, and external professionals where appropriate.
  • Undertake annual appraisals for clinical staff and support them in creating individual development plans.
  • Facilitate peer supervision sessions and contribute to CPD and training activities.
  • Lead or assist with discrete service development projects, workshops, and health promotion programmes.
  • Actively contribute to maintaining high professional standards, adhering to BABCP guidelines, and participating in internal and external CPD opportunities.

We are looking for a skilled, compassionate, and experienced CBT Therapist who is ready to take on a senior role. You will be passionate about delivering exceptional care, supporting colleagues, and driving forward service improvements.

Qualifications
  • BABCP-accredited CBT Therapist.
  • Post‑graduate diploma in CBT.
  • Strong experience in delivering evidence‑based psychological therapies, including CBT and third‑wave approaches (e.g., ACT, mindfulness‑based interventions).
  • Significant post‑qualification clinical experience (5+ years preferred).
  • Experience in clinical supervision and line management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary setting.
Desirable Skills
  • Previous experience in workplace or Occupational Health settings.
  • Further training in brief, focused psychological therapy models.
  • Experience in private sector services.
  • Training in clinical supervision.
