Overview

Senior Care Assistant role focused on supporting the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff. Responsibilities include monitoring residents’ wellbeing, contributing to person-centred care planning, supporting residents with medication, and undertaking staff supervisions.

About the role

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff. Other responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, noting any changes affecting care and care plans, ensuring new needs are met, and updating records accordingly.
  • Being involved in the person-centred care planning process by implementing, monitoring and undertaking monthly evaluations.
  • Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
  • Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff development where required.
  • Acting as a key point of contact with residents, relatives and visitors, and with health and social care professionals, ensuring reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints are escalated.
