Job summary

A leading elderly care provider in the UK is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to support the care team in delivering exceptional personal care in Farnborough. The role involves monitoring residents' wellbeing, participating in care planning, and offering medication support. Candidates should have an NVQ 3 or equivalent and at least 2 years of experience in a care environment. A proactive attitude and strong communication skills are essential for nurturing residents and staff. Shift hours are from 8am to 8pm.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience working in a similar care environment.
  • DBS Disclosure check and proof of eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, aware of changes impacting care plans.
  • Involved in the person-centred care planning process, implementing evaluations.
  • Supporting residents with medication requirements.
  • Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff development.
  • Acting as a key contact for residents, relatives, and health care professionals.

Main duties of the job

As a Senior Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare, you will be responsible for supporting and working alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Your duties include monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being involved in person-centred care planning, supporting residents with medication requirements, undertaking staff supervisions, and acting as a key point of contact for residents, relatives and healthcare professionals.

Job responsibilities
  • Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any change impacting care plans.
  • Being involved in the person-centred care planning process, implementing and monitoring monthly evaluations.
  • Supporting residents with medication requirements.
  • Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff development as required.
  • Acting as a key point of contact with residents, relatives, visitors and health and social care professionals, ensuring reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints are escalated.
