A leading provider of elderly care homes is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to support the care team in delivering high standards of personal care. You will monitor the wellbeing of residents, participate in care planning, and support staff development. Ideal candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in a similar environment and NVQ 3 or equivalent in care. The role offers a caring and supportive work environment focused on the wellbeing of both residents and staff.
This is a Senior Care Assistant role at Avery Healthcare, one of the UK's largest providers of luxury elderly care homes. The role involves supporting and working alongside the care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.
Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff. Other responsibilities include monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being involved in the person‑centred care planning process, supporting residents with their medication requirements, undertaking staff supervisions, and acting as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives, and health/social care professionals.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
The ideal candidate must have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes and at least 2 years’ experience working in a similar care environment. They must also have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and a positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
