ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, noting changes affecting care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met, and updating records accordingly.
  • Participating in the person-centred care planning process, implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
  • Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
  • Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff development where required.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for residents, relatives and visitors, and health and social care professionals, ensuring reasonable requests are addressed and concerns or complaints are escalated.

  • Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
  • Have 2 years of experience working in a similar care environment.

  • Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
