Senior CAD Designer

Location: Hertford

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be working with a leading acoustic engineering specialist, now seeking an experienced Senior CAD Designer to join their dynamic Design team in Hertford. This is a hands-on, senior-level opportunity where you\'ll lead design projects, support product innovation, and mentor junior colleagues while playing a key role in the company\'s continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out dimensional site surveys across the UK and Europe.
• Produce GA drawings as well as detailed manufacturing and installation drawings.
• Collaborate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers.
• Lead the development of acoustic products using 2D AutoCAD.
• Ensure all designs are compliant with relevant standards and optimised for manufacturing efficiency.

What We\'re Looking For

• Proven experience working with sheet metal or structural steel manufacturing.
• Strong proficiency in 2D AutoCAD (knowledge of Autodesk Inventor/Revit is a plus).
• Solid understanding of installation practices.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to travel across the UK and Europe (full UK driving licence essential).
