This aspiring consultancy offers an interesting and varied role for an experienced Building Surveyor wanting to become involved in working for a proven and successful multi-disciplinary professional design consultancy.

The role is working within one of the consultancy’s Building Surveying Teams on public sector housing projects from inception to completion. This role will suit a candidate with drive and ambition to be part of a successful division of this extremely ambitious consultancy.

Candidates must have good traditional building surveying skills and experience, strong communication skills with the ability to interface with clients / contractors and other professionals working within an existing team. This is an excellent role for a candidate wishing to progress within a successful business coupled with a truly collaborative environment.

Key Qualifications

• Chartered Building Surveyor or Member of Institute of Building.
• Proven track record of performing in a building surveying role, particularly related Public-Sector Housing (This is absolutely a key component to being considered for this role)
• Full technical ability & up to date contract knowledge
• Self motivated, confident, with good presentation and communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment and be able to lead on specific projects as appropriate
• Strong experience in Public Sector Housing

Responsibilities

• Working within one of the Building Surveying Teams on public sector housing projects from inception to completion.
• Interface with clients, contractors and other professionals as part of an existing team.

Detailed Job Types

• Structural Surveys and Acquisition Inspections of buildings.
• Building Defects Analysis.
• Writing specification, contract administration and running public sector housing projects.
• Preparing and submitting applications for statutory consent and liaising with relevant authorities.
