Are you a seasoned Building Services Engineer looking for your next exciting challenge? Join a dynamic team delivering design studies, technical solutions, and innovative HVAC systems on high–profile projects. This contract role offers the flexibility of hybrid working and the opportunity to make a tangible impact on complex engineering assignments.


The Role:
As a Senior Building Services Engineer, you'll define and distribute scopes of work to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards. You will lead the design and engineering process, ensuring all deliverables meet technical specifications and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, check, and approve designs and documentation across all project phases
  • Contribute to design and safety reviews
  • Deliver cost–effective technical solutions and support site surveys, installation, and commissioning
  • Lead and mentor design teams while managing sub–contractors
  • Ensure compliance with safety legislation, industry codes, and statutory regulations
  • Prepare Design Assessment Reports (DARs) and support design substantiation or period reviews

Essential Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant engineering/technical discipline or equivalent experience
  • Proven HVAC and Building Services design experience, including ventilation and piped services
  • Track record of delivering successful design solutions
  • Strong understanding of safety legislation and statutory regulations
  • Experience leading design teams, managing sub–contractors, and bid preparation
  • Strong organisational, interpersonal, and commercial skills

Desirable:

  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards chartership
  • Experience with containment or process ventilation systems
  • Knowledge of design software and outputs
  • Construction site experience
  • Experience in the nuclear or other highly regulated industries
