Job description

Our client can offer you a role as a Senior Bookkeeper or Transactional Accounts Manager within an innovative and quality driven manufacturer of machinery that is exported across the world. This is a company that invests heavily in their staff and offers a collaborative and supportive working environment and superb company benefits.

We are looking for an Accountant or Bookkeeper who has worked within a manufacturing business and has used manufacturing ERP software. ‘Enterprise Resourcing Planning’

SAP, Oracle, ERP, MRP, Efacs, Epicor, Exel, NexSys, Infor or similar.

You will have the support of an account’s administrator and will report into the company Finance Director. Your main day to day tasks will be the management, recording and tracking of all high-volume invoice transactions and all events that represents the company’s cash flow incoming and outgoing. The role will involve:

  • Managing bank and statement reconciliations
  • Reconciliation of GBP, EURO and USD accounts
  • Responsible for sales ledger, raising invoices, credits and statements
  • Purchase ledger duties, high volume invoicing, matching, batching and coding (PO’s) and making Bacs payment runs
  • Credit control, chasing outstanding payments
  • Effectively dealing with all accounts and supplier queries
Salary and Benefits

1.30pm Finish on Fridays. Permanent office-based role.

The client will offer a salary of £35,000 to £40,000 per annum with superb benefits that include 25 days holiday + BH, Healthcare, Bupa Private medical, Life Assurance, Company Pension, Cycle to Work Scheme.

Skills/Experience
  • At least 2/3 years previous experience in an all-round accounts role and the ability to hit the ground.
  • ERP or Manufacturing software experience as well as Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Good strong communication skills, good relationship builder with suppliers and customers.
