• Oversee managing agents as required.
• Contribute to project groups related to the managed portfolio.
• Conduct valuations as necessary.
• Support the organisation's Annual Property Plan.

Job Details

Location : Basingstoke, Hampshire (Hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 days remote)

Contract : Interim / Temporary – 26 weeks

Hours : 37 hours per week

IR35 : Inside IR35

Start Date : 19 January 2026

Pay Rates

PAYE: £43.82 per hour

Umbrella / Ltd : £58.58 per hour

Ribble Recruitment is assisting a local authority in the appointment of an experienced Senior Asset Management Surveyor to support a large and well-established commercial property investment portfolio.

This interim role sits within a specialist Investment / Property Services team and will focus on hands‑on asset and estate management across a diverse portfolio including retail, office, industrial, leisure, and town centre assets.

The Role

Key responsibilities will include :

• Day‑to‑day management of a commercial investment portfolio
• Managing rent reviews, lease renewals, new lettings, landlord & tenant matters, consents, surrenders, and dilapidations
• Estate management of multi‑let properties, including service charge management, budgeting, income monitoring, and debt management
• Overseeing managing agents where appointed
• Contributing to project groups relating to the managed portfolio
• Undertaking valuations as required
• Supporting delivery of the organisation’s Annual Property Plan

About You

To be considered, you will :

• Be RICS qualified
• Have strong experience working within a commercial property / asset management environment
• Demonstrate solid working knowledge of commercial leases
• Be confident managing a varied commercial portfolio independently
• Hold a full UK driving licence (access to a vehicle desirable)
• Have experience working within a local authority or public sector setting (highly desirable)
