Qualifications

• Registered Nurse on NMC Register Part 1 or Registered ODP on HCPC Register.
• Post registration course related to Theatre and or Perioperative Environment.
• Willingness to practice in Anaesthetic Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Role model and enable effective communication with patients and relatives.
• Participate in the on-call theatre rota.
• Establish and maintain communication within the multidisciplinary team.

Job description

The post holder will demonstrate person centred care, through role modelling this approach to care in their own practice. In addition, the post holder will play a supportive role in leading the development of the care setting, seeking opportunities for learning and development. Drawing on own expertise, the post holder will provide skilled assistance to anaesthetists in the peri-operative and emergency environment and disseminate expert evidence based knowledge and skills in order to continuously develop self and others.

• Participate in the ‘on call’ theatre on call rota.
• Establish and maintain high communication within the multidisciplinary team.

Skills and Qualifications

• Registered Nurse on NMC Register Part 1 or Registered ODP on HCPC Register.
• Post registration course related to Theatre and or Perioperative Environment or Specialist.
• Practice in Anaesthetic Nursing or willing to work towards the same.
