Job summary

Person Specification
Education and Qualifications
  • Current professional NMC/SW England/HCPC registration.
  • Qualified Nurse, Social Worker, physiotherapist or occupational Therapist.
  • Over 2 years work experience and knowledge within safeguarding.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development and training undertaken in respect of safeguarding to minimum Level 3 (as per Intercollegiate Document).
  • Experience of working within healthcare/Clinical.
  • Teaching qualification or demonstrate experience and knowledge in the development and delivery of training to key professionals.
  • Qualified Best Interest Assessor.
Knowledge and Experience
  • Specialist knowledge of adult safeguarding practice and legislation.
  • Knowledge of local and national policies relating to safeguarding adults at risk, relevant professional and NHS policy initiatives.
  • Experience of implementing and coordinating safeguarding of adults at risk procedures within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of legislation and experience of working with the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.
  • Experience in a senior clinical position.
  • Evidence of team working.
  • Evidence of developing/providing education programmes for the multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience of multi‑agency working.
  • Experience of research activities.
  • Experience of attending strategy meetings.
