An opportunity has arisen for a motivated Senior Admissions Coordinator to manage the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) surgical procedure waiting lists and track patient pathways.

Responsibilities
  • provide an efficient, effective quality administration service to patients and staff, and act as a full surgical booking coordinator.
  • deal with Adult and Paediatric patients, liaise with families and patients, hospital staff, arrange pre-assessments and book inpatient procedures.
  • comprehensive tracking of patients RTTs, with knowledge of NHS targets including 18 week and Cancer Pathways desirable.
  • schedule inpatient procedures, working closely with staff at all levels both internally and externally.
  • proactively manage patient waiting times, registration and booking of all patients in line with Trust Policies and Procedures, National targets and paying particular attention to the 18 week Referral to Treatment targets and cancer targets.
Qualifications
  • capable of working independently while exercising personal initiative.
  • ability to organise workload to meet demand changes within the service.
  • knowledge of NHS targets desirable; training on all aspects of the role will be given.
  • internal applicants on permanent contracts can apply as a secondment or fixed term contract; for secondments approval of the line manager is required; fixed term applicants may apply for a fixed term position.
  • knowledge of all NHS targets including 18 week and Cancer Pathways is desirable for this role.
