Job overview

An exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to apply for this role within the Bolton Community Mental Health Services.

Based at Bentley House in Bolton (although cover at other bases may be a requirement of the role), this role will provide support to the Functional Adult Community Mental Health Teams. The post holder will carry out day-to-day administrative duties, as well as being responsible for providing relevant managers with vital information relating to DQ targets, ensuring accurate, up to date recording of patient information on the health systems, for staff across a range of disciplines. It will also include the line management, supervision and appraisals of all admin staff within the Adult Community Mental Health Teams based at Bentley House and Barnett House.

This post is currently part-time and may require the post holder to travel to other sites within the locality and other Trust locations as and when required.

Main duties of the job
  • Line management of staff including supervisions, appraisals, performance management and sickness reviews along with any day to day issues to team of administrators and receptionists
  • Ensure smooth administrative running of day to day operations for both Bentley House and Barnett House ensuring adequate cover for all areas
  • Maintain and promote high standards of record and record keeping within the team and provide accurate regular and adhoc reports on various aspects of data quality
  • Support all members of the multi-disciplinary team and Team Managers
  • Arranging meetings and taking of minutes for these meetings
  • Processing of referrals and discharges for the service

Essential criteria
  • Level 3 Competency based qualification (NVQ / RSA) or equal demonstrable experience.
  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent.
Desirable criteria
  • IT related qualification
  • RSA / NVQ qualification.
Experience

  • Experience of line managing / supervising staff.
  • Working effectively with word processing, Microsoft packages, spreadsheets and databases.
  • RSA 2 minimum typing or equivalent
  • Experience of organisational change management.
