Role Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accounts Technician to join the business on a 12 Month FTC

The Transformation Program at Allianz is a strategic initiative aimed at enhancing the company's operational efficiency, customer experience, and overall competitiveness in the market. This program typically involves a series of projects and actions designed to modernize processes, integrate advanced technologies, and foster a culture of innovation and agility across the organization

From a finance perspective, the Transformation Program at Allianz is focused on optimizing financial operations, improving financial performance, and ensuring sustainable growth. This involves a series of strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing financial processes, leveraging technology, and fostering a culture of financial agility and innovation

This role is based in our Guildford Office. This is a Hybrid role with expectations of being on site 2 to 3 days per week, please note that occasional travel may be required.

Salary Information

Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.

About You
  • Expert Knowledge: Possesses expertise and understanding from a financial control perspective payments and collections at a subledger level. Providing these insights and guidance to the project team to ensure accuracy and relevance in the project's deliverables.
  • Quality Assurance: Plays a role in verifying from a financial control perspective quality and accuracy data, ensuring they meet required standards and specifications, and may conduct reviews and testing to validate outputs.
  • Testing: Data driven, attention to detail and ability to recognise from a finance perspective good v errors.
  • Gathering Requirements: Assists in defining and refining finance requirements, ensuring alignment with Finance bau team and project initiatives.
  • Risk Assessment: Helps identify potential risks related to Finance, advising on mitigation strategies to minimize impact on the ledger and finance processes.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicates with stakeholders, providing updates and clarifications related to their area of expertise, ensuring stakeholder concerns and requirements are addressed.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contributes to the continuous improvement of processes and practices within their domain, suggesting enhancements and innovations to optimize project outcomes.
  • Feedback and Evaluation: Provides feedback on project progress and outcomes, evaluating whether the project meets the desired objectives and standards
  • Solution Design: Contributes to the design and development of Finance solutions, offering expert advice on feasibility, suitability, and potential impact of proposed approaches, ensuring solutions are technically sound and fit for purpose.
  • Training and Support: Provides training and support to project team members, helping them understand complex concepts and processes, and may assist in developing training materials and documentation.
Essential Skills
  • Part-Qualified (ACCA, CIMA) or AAT
  • Extensive Finance experience
  • SAP experience
  • Project / transformation experience
  • Project management experience
