Senior Accounts Assistant - Worksop - £28,000 - £32,000

Chase & Holland have partnered exclusively with a fast growing manufacturing business based in Worksop. The finance team is growing, and they are looking to recruit a Senior Accounts Assistant to join the business to support the director with the day to day running of the accounting function. You'll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with month-end processes, and providing insight to help drive business performance. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is studying towards their AAT, further qualifications or has relevant experience and is eager to develop further.

Responsibilities
  • Processing supplier invoices and raising purchase orders where required
  • Raising customer invoices and chasing overdue accounts
  • Prepare and process weekly payment runs
  • Set up new customers and suppliers onto the system
  • Reconciling bank accounts across multiple entities
  • Supporting cash flow forecasting and daily cash monitoring
  • Acting as first point of contact for finance queries
  • Supporting contract renewals
  • Journal postings
  • VAT returns
Required Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience in a similar varied accounts role
  • Strong understanding of month end reporting and VAT
  • Strong Excel skills and experience in using finance systems such as Sage or Xero
  • Organised, proactive and wanting to work in a fast paced environment
