Senior Accounting Support Officers – Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council

The Council is seeking to recruit three Senior Accounting Support Officers who will be based at the centre of the Council, in the Resources Directorate, which has key responsibility for managing the Council's money and people as well as ensuring that democratic decisions are well informed and legally sound.

You will provide financial support to colleagues within the finance team and a range of services across the Council. This may include anything from central finance functions including treasury management and banking to supporting services manage their budgets and monitor in year activity. You may be required to support colleagues with the development of business cases for capital projects, grant funding for new initiatives and internal and external audit queries.

The role requires strong and effective communication skills, including the ability to deal with customers who possess varying levels of financial skill.
